Used car sales were 8,167 units in September in Galicia, 24.5% less than in the same month of 2021, according to data from the National Association of Vehicle Merchants (Ancove).
This decrease practically triples that recorded at national level, as the transfer of used cars in Spain decreased on average by 8.6%.
In the first three quarters of this year, 75,188 used vehicles were marketed in the Community, 15.5% less than in the first nine months of last year. The average for each state was -5%.
In Corua, with 3,145 cars and 25.6% each, it was the Galician province with the best records in September, followed by Pontevedra with 3,000 cars, 24.5% fewer. In Lugo, 1,087 used cars were transferred, 21.1% less, while in Ourense, 935 units, 24.5% less.
Nationally, 153,927 used cars were sold in Spain last month, 8.6% less than in September 2021, amassing 1.36 million transfers so far this year, 5% less.
“Used car sales accentuate the declines to add a 5% drop compared to the first three quarters of last year.
