This matter was discussed at a joint press conference on Monday morning, before the start of the session, by Senate Marshal Tomasz Grodzki and the chairman of the Civic Platform Borys Budka.

– When I became the head of the PO at the beginning of this year, I promised that the voice of citizens would always be the most important for us. I keep it up. Citizens are our employers and their opinion should be taken into account in the first place – said Budka.

As he added, when KO MPs voted in favor of these solutions on Friday, they were guided by “common sense, but most of all by the desire to regulate these issues comprehensively”.

As people responsible to our voters, to those who trusted us, we must remember that first we should regulate the issue of better wages of citizens, and only then, if possible, the salaries of parliamentarians – he added.

That is why I will propose at the club that will be this afternoon, I will present a draft for discussion, which I will also present to the political leaders in the Sejm, to appoint a parliamentary team of several senators, several deputies, to develop a comprehensive program of wage regulation in the broadly understood budgetary sphere, such as it took place in the repeatedly mentioned in the Sejm of the Second Republic of Poland – he said.
