And one, two, and three… Sad news for the gastronomy of Saint-Etienne, it is not one, but three restaurants that are going out of business. La Platine closed its doors last week, Le Cercle closes on Wednesday 21 September and Le Carré des ombreatures will close on Wednesday 28.
The three factories were managed by Benoît Masson, who had signed an employment contract for each with Saint-Étienne or Saint-Étienne Métropole. The three restaurants are in fact located within cultural establishments belonging to these communities: Le Carré des Sfutures at the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (in the municipality of Saint-Priest-en-Jarez), Le Cercle all’Opera and La Platine at the City of Design.
