This is reported by the Royal Dutch Rescue Society (KNRM) from Blaricum. One of the men was injured because fuel leaked from the outboard after the overturn, a spokesman for the KNRM said. “That fuel is a caustic and it has been burned.”

The crew of the KNRM lifeboat, which was warned at around 10:30 PM, provided first aid to the injured man. The victim refused after an examination by ambulance personnel, despite insistence, further treatment and transport to the hospital, according to the KNRM.
“Dangerous journey”
The KNRM spokesperson states that both passengers have made a perilous journey. “It was quite a risky business, also because it started to get dark. When we were warned it was already quite dark.”
