Not a month has Frank Kaminsky’s adventure in Sacramento Kings arrived. As reported by Shams Charania of The Athletic, the California organization has decided to stop having the 27-year-old inside player, whom they had signed an unsecured contract for the minimum last November.
Kaminsky will now be free to decide his future, although it will not be easy to find accommodation given that teams are currently focused on releasing players to adapt their rosters to the start of the NBA. It may be that being a major player with an outside shot will help you on a quest that will certainly not be easy.
Chosen 9th in the 2015 draft by Charlotte Hornets, Kaminsky spent the 2019-20 season playing for the Phoenix Suns. In the Arizona franchise he averaged 9.7 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 19.9 minutes per night. As for his effectiveness, he signed 45 percent in field goals and 33.1 percent in triples.
The reality is that the Kings had enough players to play in the paint, so much so that despite the star’s departure from the University of Wisconsin they still have: Jabari Parker, Marvin Bagley III, Nemanja Bjeliça, Richaun Holmes or Hassan Whiteside .
