Sacha Baron Cohen has right-wing protesters sing song about ‘Wuhan flu’ | NOW

Sacha Baron Cohen is accused of being the man behind a performance at a meeting in Washington organized by the far-right group Three Percenters. The British comedian is said to have prompted attendees to sing a song about ‘Wuhan flu,’ reports TMZ.

Baron Cohen is said to have convinced protesters to sing along with lyrics about infecting well-known American figures with the corona virus. He would have dressed as a bluegrass singer. The song included former President Barack Obama, American immunologist Anthony Fauci and Microsoft director Bill Gates.

Other targets included the World Health Organization (WHO), people wearing face masks, and “liberals.” At one point, Baron Cohen convinced festivalgoers to sing about journalists and how to “be cut to pieces like the Saudis do” – a reference to the death of Jamal Khashoggi, who was murdered at the Saudi consulate in Turkey in 2018.

At the demonstration, which was announced as March for Our Rights 3, about 500 people were present, reports The Olympian.

In 2004, Baron Cohen took a similar move when, disguised as the character Borat, he convinced Americans at an Arizona bar to sing the phrase “throw the Jew in the pit.”
