Ryan Reynolds did not do things by halves for the birthday of his actor friend Rob McElhenney, with whom he bought Welsh club Wrexham FC, considered the third oldest football club in the world.

But in reality, this trickery of the American actor seen in The Voices or Free Guy is just the latest chapter in a series of quirky birthday celebrations. In response, Rob McElhenney responded with a giant inflatable face of the actor. Presented to the players, the result had not really convinced them, pushing the actor seen in the series Lost or It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia to reveal his real project: an inflatable balloon above the stadium with the burned and swollen face of Ryan Reynolds for the needs of the film Deadpool.

Unfortunately for the two men, the song about Rob McElhenney, shared on Friday April 14, was not enough to allow the Wrexham FC team to win Saturday against Barnet, with a sad 0-0. However, the players of Ryan Reynolds can still dream of the upper division: they only lack six points to take from the last three meetings of the championship to be promoted.
