LONDON, KOMPAS.comRussia’s attempt to paralyze Ukraine’s energy sector with multiple long-range attacks in winter appears to have failed miserably.

However, large-scale air raids have become rare since early March this year.

“Small scale attacks (with less than 25 rounds) are continuing, but are likely to have a much smaller impact on the UES (integrated energy system),” the UK Ministry of Defence wrote.

The British Ministry of Defense said, Ukrainian network operator companies are continuously looking for replacement transformers and other important components.

“Planning and preparations for the coming winter season appear to have begun,” the Ministry of Defence continued.
