Russia removes Wagner fighters from Libya

According to Western and Syrian sources, about 200 Russians and thousands of Syrians have already been taken out of Libya. About 5,000 mercenaries remain in the African country.

It is noted that initially Russia did not plan to withdraw its forces from Libya. However, Moscow took this step because of the lack of success in Ukraine. Sources of the Financial Times suggest that the “Wagnerites” can be sent to war in Ukraine.

One of the sources of the publication noted that, probably, the closure of Turkish airspace for Russian military flights from Libya and Syria is due to the fact that the Russian Federation is moving people and weapons from these countries to the war in Ukraine.
