“Nineteen battalion tactical groups are still on the border after the end of the West 2021 military exercise. In parallel, the SMM is witnessing tangible and systematic limitations to operational capabilities in the occupied territories,” he said.
The restrictions involve jamming drone signals, security threats, unjustified restrictions under the pretext of COVID-19 and security checks – a well-known Russian model of behavior that has been going on for years.
“Is there any other explanation that more than 90% of all these restrictions on the SMM’s activities occur in the occupied territories, especially in the border areas, as Russia’s intention to hide its illegal activities in these territories …” Tsymbalyuk said.
