The crews of the Su-25SM3 attack aircraft were relocated from the airfield in the Stavropol Territory to the airfields of the Crimea.

Russia transferred a squadron of Su-25SM3 attack aircraft from Stavropol to the annexed Crimea. On Saturday, April 17, reports TASS.

It is noted that the crews of the Su-25SM3 aviation unit of the 4th Army of the Air Force and Air Defense of the Southern Military District of Russia, deployed in the Stavropol Territory, were relocated to operational airfields in the Crimea. In addition, the Su-25SM3 squadrons of the Air Defense Forces were relocated from a military airfield in Crimea to the Ashuluk training ground in the Astrakhan region of the Russian Federation.

“During tactical flight exercises, the crews of the Su-27SM, Su-30SM fighters and the Su-24M, Su-25SM3 and Su-34 bombers will carry out missile launches and bombing at sea targets,” the message says.

It is also planned that the pilots of the two formations will carry out the tasks of escorting naval strike groups and acting as part of reconnaissance strike complexes in the Black Sea.

It was also reported the day before that The Russian Federation has transferred units of the 58th Army for exercises in Crimea.

Meanwhile, Russia said that their teachings are “more modest than those of the Armed Forces”, and do not differ from the maneuvers of previous years.
