The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Boris Johnson, expressed his condolences for the dying of the previous Soviet leader Mijail Gorbachev, in which he sees an “example” to be highlighted in a context marked by the “aggression” introduced on Ukraine by the latest Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“I have always admired the bravery and integrity you have revealed in bringing about a peaceful stop to the Chilly War,” Johnson stated on Twitter, “saddened” by information from Moscow of the death of the very last USSR chief.
“His tireless determination to opening up Soviet modern society remains an example for all,” he pressured.
