The United States is ready to accept refugees from Ukraine due to a full-scale Russian invasion. However, the White House expressed the hope that most of them will settle in the EU countries.

“We are ready, but we also expect that many of them – if not most – will want to go to neighboring countries,” she said.
At the same time, Psaki added that Washington is in contact with European partners on the issue of creating the conditions necessary for the placement of Ukrainian refugees.
“We have been maintaining discussions with our allies on this topic for some time now,” she said.
