If you want to get disinfectants, hand gel and disinfectant wipes from Aldi Süd next Monday, you can only get the products in commercially available quantities. According to CHIP information, Aldi Süd limits the output to a maximum of two products per customer. This takes place from an internal letter that is exclusively available to CHIP.
The press office had already confirmed a few days ago that it wanted to implement such a measure in order to provide as many customers as possible with the product. CHIP first reported on the offer.-
At the checkout, employees should explain to customers that they can only take one product with them. An Aldi employee at a branch in the east of Munich confirmed that shopping was limited to normal household quantities.
“We received the announcement from above, which I think is good. But it will be difficult to explain it to the customers on Monday.” The products are currently in the stores of the branches and are supposed to be in the digging tables on Monday. Customers should only be able to buy the products at the checkout.
In addition, Aldi Süd removed the products from all advertising posters in the branches, on the homepage and in the app. With the measure, the company is responding to the current situation. On request, the press office said: “Since we expect increased demand, we will no longer advertise the products.”
The Robert Koch Institute explains that regular and thorough washing of hands can reduce the number of germs on the hands. Dermatologists also warn that disinfectants can damage the skin.
