Russian tennis player Andrei Rublev argued with the judge in the second round match of the Australian Open, and also complained about “bad words” from the audience with the flag of Ukraine. About it informs Fox Sports.
The first racket of Russia Rublev in the second round defeated Finn Emil Ruusuovori in four sets – 6:2, 6:4, 6:7 (2:7), 6:3.
In the third set, Rublev cursed loudly and obscenely in Russian after hitting the net. The judge gave him a warning, but the Russian did not agree and went to argue.
Rublev asked the referee if he was from Russia and if he knew Russian. “So many similar words. Now I hear that you sent me, as I understood and heard, it’s the same, <...> why don’t you give yourself a warning?” Rublev said.
In the second set, Rublev had a different conversation with the referee, who was offered to intervene because of the spectators with the flag of Ukraine who were in the near podium.
Rublev said that the flag did not interfere with him, but these spectators spoke “bad words” about him.
In the third round of the Australian Open, Rublev will play Briton Daniel Evans (25th seed).
