‘Very shocked and very sad’

Last night RTL already came up with a reaction and late today too LEGO MastersHearing from presenter Ruben Nicolai (via Show news): “Extremely shocked and very sad by the news of the death of Jan, a very beautiful and always cheerful person. With every meeting you could not help but take over a little bit of his cheerfulness, partly because of his iconic smile. I wish his loved ones, including Lola of course, all the best and a lot of strength in bearing this enormous loss.“

After they broke off their relationship, Jan and Lola remained best friends. They even decided to join LEGO Masters, where they came out as winners.
