RTL cheers! TV ratings continue to rise. At the start of the second round of the playoffs, the Baltimore Ravens’ game against the Houston Texans on Saturday evening had a market share of 12.3 percent in the target group of 14 to 59 year olds and 17.0 percent among 14 to 49 year olds.
With an average of 1.12 million and a peak of up to 1.49 million TV viewers, the Detroit Lions game with German star receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown on Sunday evening from 9:00 p.m. was the most watched game in the current NFL -Playoffs.
RTL ratings for NFL games are rising steeply
The game received a total of a third more viewers than the playoff game at the same kickoff time last year. In the current season, only the German Game on November 5th in Frankfurt/Main had more TV viewers.
The Green Bay Packers’ game at the San Francisco 49ers achieved a 24.4 percent market share among 14 to 49 year olds, more than twice as high as the Divisional Round game at the same kickoff time last year. Overall, every single game in the second playoff round on RTL significantly exceeded the previous season’s values in all advertising-relevant target groups.
RTL shows AFC and NFC finals live on TV and live stream
The encounter between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Buffalo Bills had an outstanding market share of 24.5 percent among 14 to 49 year olds and 18.7 percent among 14 to 59 year olds from 12:30 a.m. on Monday night. year olds and 12.5 percent of the total audience, landing just behind the recently set RTL-NFL record, which was also set by the reigning champions from Kansas City in the first playoff round (January 14).

For the first time, both conference championship games with the AFC and NFC finals will be broadcast live from the USA on German free TV.
