RSI Siti Hajar used the parking lot for IGD COVID-19

Siti Hajar Islamic Hospital, Sidoarjo, East Java, uses a car park on the ground floor as an emergency room service following many people who have come with symptoms of COVID-19 over the past few weeks.

Director of the Siti Hajar Islamic Hospital Sidoarjo Hidayatullah in Sidoarjo, Friday said, the use of the parking lot was carried out considering the main room of the ER was full.

He said that from the 19 beds that had been previously available, 26 beds could now be added, bringing a total of 45 beds for emergency room services.

“Until now, the system that we use is also open and closed, meaning that if a patient recovers or dies, then the patient in the ER is transferred to a special isolation room,” he said.

He said that currently his party is also continuing to open vacancies for health workers following several health workers who were exposed to COVID-19.

“We have tried hard to get additional medical personnel such as opening job vacancies. But until now we have not obtained it,” he said.

Meanwhile, data at the Siti Hajar Hospital in June 2021 treated 338 COVID-19 patients and 51 of them died.

“Meanwhile, in two days in July, 21 patients died,” he said.

He added, in the past two weeks the positive COVID-19 patients who came were not only adults and the elderly, but also teenagers and even children.
