Roy Keane doubts Cristiano Ronaldo’s injury: ‘Something is wrong’

SFormer Manchester United player Uwe Kean on Sunday questioned Ralph Rangnick’s justifications for not calling up Cristiano Ronaldo for the much-anticipated Premier League Round 28 derby game against Manchester City.

The former Ireland international and current sports commentator for Britain’s Sky Sports shared a dressing room with the Portuguese striker at Old Trafford and recalled the physical stamina the latter has displayed throughout his career.

“The surprise is Ronaldo’s absence due to a hamstring problem, but Manchester United have a certain speed and they have to play with pride and quality,” he said in statements made before the start of the game in the Federation.

“It seems that there is something else in Ronaldo’s situation. The coach has come out to say something about a groin problem, but the man is a machine and he rarely gets injured. However, he has occasional groin problems…something isn’t working.”
