The unanimous guilt of Roula Pispirigou on the charge of murder against her first-born daughter Georgina was announced by the Mixed Jury Court of Athens, after a marathon hearing that lasted about 16 months.
At the same time, the court also found her guilty of the crime of attempted homicide against the child on 11.4.2021.
«The court unanimously declares the accused guilty of the continuing act of intentional homicide in a calm state of mind as she is accused of the act of attempted intentional homicide against Georgia Daskalaki on 11/4/2021 and the committed intentional homicide at the expense of Georgia Daskalaki on 29/1/2022 being in a calm state of mind“, said the president of the court.
Kuya’s first reaction
The lawyer of Roulas Pispirigou, Alexis Kougias, spoke of a “huge judicial scandal”.
More specifically, he said that he was surprised by the decision as he was convinced of the woman’s innocence, nevertheless he respects the result of the Greek Justice.
“In our opinion the accused is innocent and with the consent of the accused we will not ask for mitigating circumstances”said Alexis Kougias characteristically.
He then said: “I am obliged to respect the decision of the court and the huge judicial scandal, the guilt of Roula Pispirigou.”
