The Rostec state corporation has begun deliveries of the first Phlox self-propelled artillery units (self-propelled guns) to the troops. The weapon can fire both mortar shells and artillery shells. This was reported by the press service of the state corporation.
“Rostec has begun transferring a batch of 120-mm Phlox self-propelled artillery guns to the troops. The weapon was created on the chassis of a protected off-road vehicle,” the state corporation explained. The company’s press service added that the gun’s increased maneuverability will help it quickly change its firing position after firing several shots. Also, the industrial director of the Rostec complex of conventional weapons, ammunition and special chemicals, Bekhan Ozdoev, noted that the new self-propelled guns can simultaneously fire mortar shells and artillery shells.
It was previously reported that, being repaired at one of the enterprises of Kurganmashzavod, BTR-RD armored vehicles are capable of destroying tanks. They are equipped with two ATGM missile launchers “Kornet” and “Fagot”. Branch of “Kurganmashzavod” from Volgograd has already sent a batch of armored vehicles BMD-2 and BTR-RD to the front.
