Rosario registered 37 new cases of coronavirus, and in the province there were 63 in total

The city of Rosario, with 37 new cases, it registered again a high number of infections since the beginning of the pandemicwhile in all the province of Santa Fe 63 positives were reported, in what also represents a high figure from March to this part.

With these 37 new cases, the city of Rosario adds 408 cases so far this month, which clearly marks the acceleration of the contagion curve, which is what the provincial and municipal health portfolio has been marking, who in turn they insist on taking extreme precautions in these weeks that, apparently, show the peak of contagion in Santa Fe.

These 409 cases represent more than 76 percent of the total contagions that the city had since the start of the pandemic, which is 538. In other words, from March to the end of June, in three and a half months, there were only 129 cases. And in the 30 days since July that number is three times higher, a number that without being alarming is to take into account and clearly marks the acceleration of the contagion curve.

Of today’s 37 cases, 12 were in contact with a confirmed case, while the remaining 23 are under investigation to determine the epidemiological link. And the remaining two, which are under investigation, were notified in another jurisdiction.

In this regard, it is necessary to insist with what the health authorities have been emphasizing that in the Rosario department there is community circulation of the virus, which means that it is not clear, at the moment, the way in which they were infected. For this reason, they emphatically recommend avoiding crowds, using the chinstrap and face mask and, above all, maintaining social distance.

Of the remaining 26 cases, the most notorious is that of the city of Casilda, which reported 12 positives, which are under investigation, and reached a total of 43.

While of the 3 cases of Funes (one had contact with a confirmed case and 2 under investigation), and Captain Bermúdez, they are under investigation. Santa Isabel with 2 cases (they had contact with a confirmed case) reached 71 infected.

The remaining positives occurred in Granadero Baigorria, Roldán, San Lorenzo, Timbúes, Villa Gobernador Gálvez and Ceres.

The San Lorenzo case is linked to a confirmed case contact and the Ceres case stated a history of travel to an area with circulation of the virus.

The remaining cases of Baigorria, Roldán, Villa Gobernador Gálvez and Timbúes are under investigation.

With these numbers, the total number of cases in Santa Fe since the start of the pandemic is 1,213.

There are a total of 683 recovered patients. Seven patients are admitted to intensive care, 1 of whom is on respiratory assistance. And 47 patients are hospitalized in the general ward.

The other confirmed cases show a favorable evolution.
