Rookie boy group EVNNE, making its second comeback, looked back on its activities so far and expressed its determination for the future.

Even, who recently met with Seoul Economic Daily Star in Gangnam-gu, Seoul to celebrate the release of their 2nd mini album ‘Un: SEEN’, shared various stories related to the new album and the group.

Even is a seven-member group that debuted with their first mini album ‘Target: ME’ in September last year. It is a group formed by seven trainees (Park Han-bin, Keita, Lee Jung-hyun, Yoo Seung-eon, Moon Jung-hyun, Park Ji-hoo, and Ji Yoon-seo) who appeared on Mnet’s debut survival audition program ‘Boys Planet’, which ended in February last year.

Regarding making the first comeback in 4 months and in the new year of 2024, leader Keita said, “Following our debut in 2023, we will be able to make a quick comeback from the beginning of this year in 2024. We are so excited to be able to deliver our own music to our fans. “Thank you. This year, we want to show our growth,” he said.

While the debut album ‘Target: Me’ showed the bold ambition of ‘becoming the target that the public wants’, in the second album, in addition to the external charm of a confident bad boy, the ‘not-so-beautiful inside’ is also highlighted. These inner and outer sides are also revealed in the title song ‘UGLY’.

Ji Yoon-seo said, “In ‘Target Me’, he had the image of a confident bad boy, and in this ‘Un: God’, the bad boy showed his inner wounds and contained the message, ‘We love even ourselves like this.’ And because he has this inner self, he is even stronger. “I wanted to convey the message that I have grown older and more mature,” he explained.

The identity of ‘the group from the audition program’ is deeply involved in their inner lives. Although they experienced frustration by not being able to make the final debut group, the members plan to use their hurt and disappointment as a stepping stone for growth to leap higher.

Ji Yoon-seo said, “I became known to the world through ‘Boys Planet’. Although I did not debut through the program, I made a great debut through Even. In fact, it was not an easy process like ‘let’s debut’. There were many situations and it was not smooth. The difficult times I went through during this time were “Sometimes our wounds are revealed in the song,” he said, adding, “Because we went through these wounds and time, we became stronger.”

Yoo Seung-eon, who ranked 16th in the final rankings of ‘Boys Planet’, said, “Unfortunately, I was unable to debut. I worried a lot about when I would be able to debut again. Although I was hurt, I formed a good team with Even members and are putting on a great performance.” “Now that I think about it, I don’t really remember the wound,” he said, laughing.

Ji Yoon-seo said, “Before debuting as Even, I had a meeting with the CEO of Jellyfish Entertainment. At that time, the CEO said, ‘You are the underdogs. Be humble but run aggressively, and be fierce but always be humble.’ These words were “After hearing that, Jiho bought a book about underdogs and read it,” he said with a laugh.

Yoo Seung-eon also expressed his determination, saying, “We plan to work even harder with the mindset of underdogs and do our best with the passion and spirit of rookies. We want to become a team that shows further growth and is looking forward to the future.”

Meanwhile, Even’s 2nd mini album ‘Un: God’ will be released on various online music sites at 6 PM on this day.
