Ron DeSantis has joined the race for the office of the next President of the United States and is running against Donald Trump.

He submitted his candidacy statement to the US Federal Elections Commission on Wednesday.

The 44-year-old is the latest in a crowded Republican contest to decide whether the party will break away from Trump 2024 Because he wants to win back the White House from Democrat Joe Biden.

Among those already active in the Republican sphere is a former ambassador to the United Nations Nikki HaleySenator aus South Carolina Tim Scott, Businessman Vivek Ramaswamy and former Governor of Arkansas Asa Hutchinson.
