Lukaku made a solid impression in his first season in Milan, with 23 hits in Serie A and 7 goals in 6 Europa League matches. Also in the finale he claimed a leading role, first with a penalty kick goal. Afterwards he deviated the decisive third goal from Sevilla unluckily in his own goal.
In the EL selection, Lukaku will find several teammates, such as goalkeeper Samir Handanovic, defender Stefan de Vrij, midfielders Nicolo Barella and Marcelo Brozovic, and striker brother Lautaro Martinez.
