Schools are canceling their traditional senior year trip during the Easter holidays because it has become too expensive. “950 euros for five nights in Rome. I don’t feel comfortable with that myself, as unfortunate as it is,” says Jo Beelen, director of Sint-Pieterscollege in Leuven. “The air travel has also been criticized for some time, because we have many students who participated in the climate marches at the time.”
