Rombica has recently expanded its product line with computers and laptops, but has already acquired a wide range in this segment. Now the brand offers customers 4 series of myBook laptops: Mercury, Zenith, Eclipse and Discovery, which in total include 35 configuration options. We were interested in the Eclipse PCLT-0036 model, what exactly – now we will tell.
The laptop is equipped with an Intel Core i3-1115G4 central processor built on the Tiger Lake-UP3 architecture. It belongs to the 11th generation and shows decent results in single-threaded performance, power efficiency and integrated graphics tests. The processor can operate in the clock frequency range from 3.0 to 4.1 GHz and supports the new PCI Express 4.0 standard. Up to four external monitors can be connected via HDMI or Type-C ports.
The laptop has 2 slots for DDR4 RAM, one of which is occupied by an 8 GB bar, and the second is free. The ROM is implemented on a 256 GB solid-state SSD M.2 disk operating under the NVME protocol. There is no space for connecting another hard drive.
The model is equipped with a sufficient number of modern interfaces. There is an HDMI port, two USB Type-A and Type-C version 3.1 slots, a 3.5 mm audio output for wired headphones, and a microSD card reader. Please note that there is no RJ-45 connector for connecting an Internet cable. In recent years, the lack of a LAN port in compact ultrabooks has already become familiar, but if the quality of the Wi-Fi signal does not suit you, you can always buy a USB to LAN adapter.
Rombica PCLT-0036 is equipped with an Intel AC7265 wireless module that provides dual-band Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) with support for MIMO protocol and Bluetooth 4.2. The 1 MP video camera is designed for video calls and is equipped with a mechanical shutdown button along with a microphone. Two built-in speakers of 1.5 W are responsible for stereo sound.
The 15.6-inch display has narrow bezels, decent brightness, and good color reproduction. An IPS-matrix with a Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels is installed here. The keyboard has a calm white backlight. The touchpad is large, but for correct operation it requires the installation of a native driver, which can be downloaded from the manufacturer’s website.
The 4825 mAh battery can be charged from the supplied power supply, but it is also possible to charge via USB Type-C using the Power Delivery protocol. The laptop weighs 1.86 kg and is made in a completely plastic case.
The device comes without an operating system, which reduces its cost. Now on Yandex.Market laptop myBook Eclipse PCLT-0036 can be bought for an adequate 30,439 rubles with cashless online payment and fast delivery. Since the brand is not very well known in Russia, there are few reviews, but they are real and positive. Buyers like a modern processor with good performance, image quality and a nice price.
