Romanian Blue Air will be the fourth carrier on the route from Prague to Milan

The new route will go to Linate Airport, where there is no connection from Prague.

The air connection from Prague to Milan is waiting for a big restart. In addition to the planned renewal of the easyJet route, a completely new player will enter the route: the Romanian airline Blue Air will launch a new connection from Linate Airport, which is closest to the center from Milan’s airports, from 20 September.

Prague is one of the four destinations to which the carrier will fly with the plane from Milan. So far, it offers flights three times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays with a morning departure from Milan at 6:35, arrival in Prague at 7:50. He flies back to Milan at 8:35. Prices start at 15 euros one way.

“The new line provides a unique opportunity to expand the connection between the two cities,” said Krassimir Tanev, sales director of Blue Air. His name is not unknown in Czech aviation: in the past he worked for example at CSA or SkyEurope.

“Thanks to this line, there will be other opportunities for travel between Prague and Milan. In addition, Blue Air’s decision to launch its second direct connection from Václav Havel Prague Airport this summer season gives another positive signal for the resumption of operations, ” said Jaroslav Filip, director of the aviation business at Prague Airport. Blue Air is currently flying from Prague to Bucharest.

The connection between Prague and Milan has long been one of the most competitive routes. Currently, only Ryanair flies to Bergamo Airport five to six times a week, and on September 6, easyJet returns three flights a week with a connection to Malpensa Airport. From the end of October, Eurowings will also fly from Prague to Malpensa.
