Roma-PSG negotiations for Wijnaldum progress positively

Jakarta

Negotiation AS Roma and Paris Saint Germain for transfer Georginio Wijnaldum develop. PSG wants to adapt to Roma’s abilities, but they also have demands.

AS Roma are interested in Wijnaldum, who happened to be left out at PSG. The Dutch midfielder only joined PSG last summer, but failed to shine.

PSG put him on the selling list, after not being included in the pre-season tour. The change of coach from Mauricio Pochettino to Christophe Galtier did not help the situation.

AS Roma is reportedly one of the clubs who are seriously trying to bring him. Even some reports say that Roma coach Jose Mourinho has called him to convince him to join.

Roma’s first problem is that PSG actually want to sell him for 10 million euros. While the Giallorossi can only afford to borrow it.

PSG itself is reportedly flexible about this type of agreement and is willing to lend it by including a purchase option, not an obligation to buy. But they asked Roma to pay Wijnaldum’s full salary instead of a joint venture.

Roma can be optimistic regarding the recruitment of Wijnaldum. Because the PSG are also confident that an agreement will be established.

On the other hand, Wijnaldum needs a team that can give him enough playing time and confidence. Because the 31-year-old player needs to secure his place in the Dutch national team heading into the 2022 World Cup in Qatar in November-December.
