Rogério Ceni talks about Luan after São Paulo’s victory

Rogério Ceni praised Luan’s performance in São Paulo’s 3-0 victory over São Bento on Tuesday night (21), in Sorocaba: “Today Luan played a good match, with Luan’s participation standing out positively.”

Close to the end of the press conference, the coach had a heated dialogue with a reporter who asked the following question about the steering wheel: “Rogério, since you lightly put your finger on the wound, what is the real thing about Luan?”.

Check out the dialogue between Rogério Ceni and the reporter:

news reporter: “Rogério, since you lightly put your finger on the wound, what is the truth about Luan?”

Appreciate: “I didn’t understand, because the only thing I said about Luan was a compliment, that he did well in the game. I didn’t understand what the wound was.”

news reporter: “For the comments.”

Appreciate: “Comments from whom?”

news reporter: “Press comments, reviews.”

Appreciate: “I don’t analyze press comments, what counts is my analysis of the athlete on the field.”

news reporter: “Physical issue, off the field [sobre Luan]”.

Appreciate: “You played well today. Physically you did well, I just gave you a compliment. I didn’t understand “wound” on your part. You have to heal your wounds.”

Luan lives contractual impasse

This Tuesday Luan made his debut as a starter for São Paulo in the season. He already had six games, but none of them from the start. In the last two times he entered, he had participated in goals against Santos (goal) and Inter de Limeira (assist), which guaranteed the title in place of Méndez.

São Paulo is debating Luan’s contract renewal behind the scenes. The contract is only valid until the end of the year and its staff hinted that it will only be renewed if the player sees prospects of being used more frequently by Rogério Ceni. A proposal has already been rejected and Atlético-MG is keeping an eye on the development of the case.
