The TCR South America developed the first race of the weekend for the fourth date of the season in the El Pinar racetrack, in Uruguay.
The traffic light went out and in the first few meters, Rodrigo Baptista held the lead and the championship leader, Pepe Oriola advanced two positions and placed second, Rodrigo Pflucker placed third, Reis fourth and Sapag fifth.
With a good race pace, “Digo” Baptista began to escape from his guard and extended the lead with Oriola to more than 1 second. Behind, the fight was for fifth place between Sapag and Fontes and for seventh between Reilly and Otero.
After the seventh lap, Sapag approached Reis and had a chance to pass, but when he tried in the last sector he missed the spot and lost the spot to Fontes. After that, the one from Tigre was able to regain his position with the Uruguayan.
