Rockstar seems to stay true to single player fashion in GTA VI

It has been a while now, but JJ has exchanged our good old studio for his own cozy home. Including Christmas tree. Jelle is currently doing the year-end interviews and has thus claimed the studio. This does not stop the man from recording a brand new GK Journaal. After all, the news never ends. In this edition, JJ discusses how important is the single player for Rockstar when you look at GTA VI, new woes around Cyberpunk 2077 and great news for fans of Nintendo and Switch.

GTA VI: Singeplayer of Multiplayer?

Rockstar Games is a developer who in the past mainly focused on its single player modes. A few years ago this changed when an online component was added to GTA V: GTA Online. And later on Red Dead Redemption 2 got the same treatment and therefore also an online mode. Both games have since received updates to their online modes, but not their single player modes. Something quite special because Rockstar has worked on gigantic single-player DLC such as Undead Nightmare and Ballad of Gay Tony in the past. From this you could conclude that Rockstar currently focuses mainly on multiplayer. How does this look for the future. Can we still assume that GTA VI will soon be all about its single player.

A disclaimer about Cyberpunk 2077

CD Projekt Red has been hit quite a bit in recent weeks. Cyberpunk 2077 has been removed from the PlayStation Store, both Sony and Microsoft are giving refunds and stores are now also giving refunds. Of course we cannot go to the store itself at the moment to return a game. We have to order it online. But people who want to buy Cyberpunk 200 on the sites of MediaMarkt and Gamemania, among others, receive a striking notice when they visit the store. JJ tells you which communication that is.
