Rockstar cancels new update and takes a step back

Dubbed The Naturalist, the update for the online mode Red Dead Online was released on August 10. Three days later, the developer backtracked.

Indeed, version 1.21 of the multiplayer mode of Red Dead Redemption is no longer. The update caused more harm to players, with concerns about low animal presence or numerous connection issues.

On his website, Rockstar admits his mistake: “An update to Red Dead Online intended to improve security and resolve connection errors unintentionally introduced a series of issues, including connection issues, a low number of animal reproductions, difficulty starting camps, entering Moonshine cabins and others on PS4 and Xbox One.

The solution found by the studio is simple: go back, when all was well. Namely last July 28.

We came back to the previous version on these platforms, initially launched on July 28. This should fix these recent issues and restore stability – in the meantime, we will continue to work to eliminate any remaining issues through future updates.
