Saab asserted that the Public Ministry (MP/Prosecutor’s Office) will request “a measure of preventive judicial deprivation of liberty against the citizen Rocío del Carmen San Miguel Sosa for the alleged commission of the crimes of treason, conspiracy, terrorism and association, among others«.

She and her entire family detained

Likewise, it will request precautionary measures, “consisting of periodic presentations before the court of the case”, for the other four people.

The prosecutor assured that the six detainees appear “allegedly involved” in the conspiracy plot called ‘white bracelet’, whose objective was “to attack the life of the head of state, Nicolás Maduro, and other high officials,” and with which He had already linked San Miguel when he confirmed his arrest this Sunday.

He stressed that the actions are “within the legal limits” and “in strict adherence to respect for human rights,” despite the fact that the activist’s defense denounced the “forced disappearance” of San Miguel, whose whereabouts were unknown since the Friday, when she was detained at the Maiquetía international airport, which serves Caracas, until Sunday.

The Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) condemned this Monday the “forced disappearance” of San Miguel and recalled that the activist is a beneficiary of precautionary measures from the organization. EFE
