Robert Kennedy Jr. Announces Independent Run in Presidential Election

30. september

Robert Kennedy Jr. will run as an independent candidate in the presidential election

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has challenged President Joe Biden for the Democrats’ candidacy in the presidential election, but according to Reuters he will announce that he is running as an independent

Vaccine opponent Kennedy released a video Friday announcing a “big announcement” on Oct. 9.

– I am going to talk about a watershed in American politics, he says in the video. Furthermore, he complains about corruption among both Democrats and Republicans.

Kennedy is the nephew of former president John F. Kennedy, who was assassinated in 1963, and the son of former senator and attorney general Robert F. Kennedy, who was killed in 1968 when he himself ran for president.

In April, Kennedy said he would challenge Biden for the Democratic nomination in the election, but has since complained that the Democratic Party has “melted into” the Biden campaign. Furthermore, it is said that he has not been given a fair chance in the nomination process.

In the polls, Biden leads Kennedy by a large margin. Former President Donald Trump is the clear favorite to become the Republican candidate. (NTB)
