Mumbai ∙ Royals co-coach Shane Bond says that the batting of Rian Parag, the young star of Rajasthan Royals, reminds him of Suryakumar Yadav in the early days of his career. Bond’s reaction came after Rajasthan Royals’ 6-wicket win over Mumbai Indians.
‘When I see Parag’s batting, I remember Suryakumar Yadav who came to the Mumbai Indians camp years ago. Suriya was the same age as Parag when he arrived in Mumbai. There are similarities in the batting style of both. Parag also has the ability to grow like Surya with effort. The performance against Mumbai is an indication of that’ – said Bond.
