Rivian launched their electric models with cutting-edge engineering, with 4 electric motors per car, that is, effectively, 1 electric motor on each wheel. They did not integrate it inside the wheel, as the engineers did Saab, but they built a propulsion element with two symmetrical motors, on the center of each axis, each of the motors sending its power to the wheel that corresponds to it. Thus, Rivian no longer needs differentials at all, since each electric motor is managed separately and extraordinary vector adjustments can be obtained for the whole car, not to mention the immense power that can be provided by 4 electric motors
