The largest XRP holders have significantly increased their position in recent years. BetterPRNow host podcast Mark Philips drew attention to this.
According to ledger.exposed, a website that tracks the balances of the largest Ripple wallets, the most active buyers of XRP were the owners of addresses containing more than 150,699 (~ $ 27.4 million) and 774,125 (~ $ 141 million) coins. This range includes wallets, which are among 0.5% -0.01% of the largest holders.

In the range from 21,999 (~ $ 4,000) to 80,000 (~ $ 14,500) XRP also shows a significant increase. In total, these wallets are from 3% to 1%, respectively. Along with this, the number of addresses with the smallest and greatest balances decreased.
Despite this, the owner of one of the addresses increased his position by 23,298,725 XRP (~ $ 4.2 million), which allowed him to be among the 0.01% of wallets with the largest coin reserves.
Recall that in mid-June, researchers found that Ripple is the second most popular digital currency in Japan, slightly inferior to Bitcoin.
At the end of May, analytical company Messari found that Ripple was five times higher than inflation in Bitcoin.
