Rihanna wore creation by Belgian designer Pieter Mulier during Super Bowl performance | Showbiz

With Valentine’s Day in sight, Rihanna wrapped herself in the color of love on Sunday night. In a bright red boilersuit with bustier from the Spanish brand Loewe, she fired one monster hit after another at the American public: from ‘Bitch Better Have My Money’ to ‘Work’. Towards the end of the show – when she started ‘Umbrella’ – the pregnant singer also wore a long bright red coat, custom made by Belgian designer Pieter Mulier, above her casual outfit. The creative director of French fashion house Maison Alaïa was clearly delighted to dress the superstar. “So proud of my team, you are the best,” he wrote with some images of ‘Riri’ on Instagram.

It’s not the first time Rihanna has worn a Mulier creation. During the press conference about the Super Bowl concert, she was also dressed in a design by the Antwerp resident. Pieter Mulier has been creative director of Maison Alaïa since February 2021. Before that he earned his stripes as the right hand of Raf Simons. The duo worked together for Jil Sander, Dior and Calvin Klein, among others.
