The two brothers Joaquin and Julian Azulay travel in a converted Bundeswehr Unimog, built in 1985, from Spain to South Africa, always along the ever-changing Atlantic coast. They cross a total of 20 countries, starting in relatively developed Morocco, through wild Mauritania, through the dangerous (ex) civil war regions of Guinea, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Cameroon, Gabon… Desert becomes rainforest, jungle, swamp – and finally closes again desert when they reach the legendary barrels of Skeleton Bay in Namibia after almost two years.

You experience the boundless hospitality of Arabic Bedouins, the joie de vivre of Senegalese fishermen, corrupt border officials in Nigeria who have almost ended their journey and escape pirates in Cameroon. The marks left by colonialism, civil wars and social inequality, political instability and resource exploitation make the continent one of the most intense in the world. Joaquin and Julian Azulay, who became stars of the surf film scene in 2011 with their debut «Gauchos del Mar», now bring with their 22-month adventure «African Territory» a captivating expedition through the African continent, always in search of foreign cultures , exciting people and perfect waves on the canvas.
