Ridiculously cute ‘little punk’ bear cub attacks wildlife camera in Minnesota, video shows

The video begins with a mother bear and her cub standing in a grassy opening in a wooded area in Minnesota.

About a second into the video, the baby suddenly attacks, throwing its small body at the wildlife camera and obscuring the view with its brown fur.

“This bear cub was be a little prat‘ wrote the Voyageurs Wolf Project, a wildlife research organization in Minnesota, which posted the wildlife camera footage to its Facebook page on July 8. “…he even drove his mother insane!”

The organization is studying wolves and preyincluding deer, elk and beaver, during the summer in the Greater Voyageurs Ecosystem, a forest that encompasses Voyageurs National Park and the area just to the south.

The area is home to a variety of wildlife, including wolves, lynx, black bears, bobcats, coyotes, fishermen, elk, deer, and snowshoe hares, according to the organization.

Wildlife camera footage shared by the Voyageurs Wolf Project shows the baby bear keep coming back to attack the camera.

The organization too shared the video on TikTok with the song “Wild World” by Cat Stevens in the background.

The “little punk” was upset after his mother scolded him and “decided it was time to vent his pent-up frustration on our camera,” the organization said.

The bear video on Facebook received 21,000 reactions and 4,700 shares as of July 10.

Viewers expressed their happiness in the comments of the video.

“What a little stinker!” wrote Brenda Marx. “I just love your posts of animals living their lives.”

Many commenters said the bear’s behavior reminded them of their own children.

“I love watching animals in their natural habitat,” wrote Kimberly Taylor. “It sure reminds us how much our kids just behave like that.”
