Rich People Start To Rise, Private Jet Flies 523 Times from Soetta

Jakarta

Soekarno-Hatta Airport serves quite a number of private jet flights. Since the beginning of the year, Angkasa Pura II has recorded that there have been 523 private jet flights from Soekarno-Hatta. This private jet service began operating on January 24, 2022.

This private jet service, which is identical to the vehicle of the rich, belongs to the General Aviation category. Previously, this service was only operated by Halim Perdanakusuma Airport for the Jakarta and surrounding areas. Along with the revitalization carried out at the airport, private jet flights are currently operated at Soekarno-Hatta Airport.

In the period from January 24, 2022 to March 10, 2022, the number of private airplane flights operated by 14 airlines at Soekarno-Hatta Airport cumulatively reached 523 flights, consisting of 353 domestic flights and 170 international flights. Meanwhile, the total number of passengers was 2,584 passengers.

President Director of Angkasa Pura II Muhammad Awaluddin said private jet services and operations at Soekarno-Hatta Airport were running smoothly, supported by various facilities and infrastructure.

“Soekarno-Hatta Airport has complete facilities and infrastructure to support private jet flights. Regarding facilities, departure and arrival of private jet passengers are carried out at a special location, namely the Saphire Precious Lounge which is located in the Terminal 1 area, not at the passenger terminal of scheduled airlines, “explained Awaluddin in his statement, Sunday (13/3/2022).

There are at least 3 special facilities that are most needed by private jet passengers. Starting from a special room or lounge, a special vehicle parking area, and exclusive Customs, Quarantine and Immigration services.

In addition, Soekarno-Hatta Airport has also been equipped with various additional airside infrastructure such as east cross taxiways, high speed exit taxiways, and additional runways so that the airport’s capacity to serve flights increases and can serve private jet flights smoothly.

“Special facilities and complete infrastructure make the operation of private jet aircraft not interfere with scheduled flight operations,” said Awaluddin.

Currently, there are scheduled flights at Soekarno-Hatta Airport which are served by various domestic scheduled airlines such as Garuda Indonesia Group, Lion Air Group, Sriwijaya Air Group and AirAsia Indonesia, then international scheduled airlines, then helicopter services and now private jet services.
