The command car of the BRK district association Rhön-Grabfeld with emergency paramedic Christian Holzheimer is again in use in the flood area of ​​Rhineland-Palatinate. He belongs to the Lower Franconian contingent of assistance, which drove to the region badly affected by the flooding on Monday. As BRK district manager Harald Erhard (Würzburg) announced, there are now 78 volunteers with 21 emergency vehicles, three motorcycles and eleven trailers in Ahrweiler.

Numerous helpers from all over Lower Franconia

The teams come from the district associations Haßberge, Bad Kissingen, Kitzingen, Miltenberg, Main-Spessart, Schweinfurt, Rhön-Grabfeld and Würzburg. The Maltese from Aschaffenburg will be there. Her main focus is on catering for the helpers and residents in Ahrweiler. The team has the necessary equipment in the areas of care, catering, logistics and technology.

The Lower Franconians replaced the contingent from Swabia on Tuesday and are expected to be in action until Thursday. In addition to these major associations, other emergency services from Lower Franconia are and were on site: Rapid response groups, psychosocial emergency care (for those affected and emergency services), units to ensure communication, drivers to operate a pool of transport vehicles and now forces to support staff work on site.
