The beginning of the corona pandemic in particular was a challenge for everyone. Especially for the health authorities. Because not only did the distribution of protective equipment have to be organized and coordinated, it was also essential that the corona smears taken are evaluated. And of course that had to and must happen quickly. “We were desperately looking for laboratories that could do this. But they were all overworked,” recalls health care doctor Dr. Helmut Klum looks back on this turbulent time. It was difficult to find a human medicine laboratory that evaluated the smears.
