BOLASPORT.COM – Rexy Mainaki’s tension rose again after Malaysia’s flagship men’s doubles failed due to fatigue when four Indonesian men’s doubles dominated the semifinals Singapore Open 2022.
The coach from Indonesia was very disappointed with the attitude of his foster children, Goh Sze Fei/Nur Izzuddin, for failing to perform satisfactorily.
Rexy, now serving as the Malaysian Men’s Doubles Coaching Director, was furious to see the performance of his foster children, especially Goh Sze Fei/Nur Izzuddin, in Singapore Open 2022.
The pair ranked 12th in the world were eliminated in the second round of the World Tour 500 tournament by surprise, Thursday (14/7/2022).
Goh/Izzuddin’s defeat came as a surprise as they were eliminated by the 40th world pair from India, MR Arjun/Dhruv Kapila.
Goh/Izzuddin actually won in the first gym.
However, the sixth-seeded pair lost in the remaining two games and lost 21-14, 22-24, 18-21.
Goh/Izzuddin’s minimal achievement is disappointing Rexy Mainaky.
