Review: Goosebumps of Spielberg’s drama Masters of the air

During the home cinema era, it graced every man’s bookshelf, just as given then as the Zlatan book became ten years later. I am of course thinking of the “Band of brothers” DVD box set. Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks’ lavish portrait of the paratroopers in Easy Company and their path from the Normandy landings to the end of the war became a campfire for all the lads to gather around.

The sequel series “The Pacific” (2010), about the war in the Pacific, was characterized by the same rigorous research work and large-scale production but lacked the character gallery that raised the original series to almost mythological heights.
