As reported by the BBC, this story began when Marianne Bachmeier’s daughter Anna was 7 years old in May 1980. At that time, Anna was in conflict with Marianne. Anna decides to skip school. Unfortunately, at that time Anna actually became the victim of the kidnapping of a butcher named Klaus Grabowski.
Klaus holds Anna. Klaus also abused Anna until he eventually strangled the girl to death.
Klaus was arrested and jailed for his actions. Klaus also claimed that he initially didn’t want to kill the girl.
Shooting day
Then, on March 6, 1981, the third day of the trial, Marianne smuggled a handgun into the courthouse. Marianne entered the courtroom of the Lübeck district court.
He went to his daughter’s killer and shot him. Marianne pulled the trigger eight times. Klaus died instantly.
While filming Klaus, Marianne comments “Let’s hope he’s dead.”
Then he lowered the weapon, not trying to escape. This courtroom killing has been the subject of controversy. The German legal system regulates this as a process. However, on the one hand, Marianne was also traumatized.
At the time, there was a national uproar. A television program titled “I’ll Shoot It Too” airs in support of Marianne. After four weeks of convoluted legal wrangling, the murder charge was dropped, but the principle stands.

Marianne was finally convicted on March 2, 1983. She was sentenced to 6 years in prison for illegal possession of firearms. However, she was released after serving 3 years in prison.
