The song “Give That Wolf a Banana” has been viewed millions of times on YouTube, and on April 13 was the fifth most played of all this year’s contributions to Eurovision, on the streaming service Spotify.
There is little doubt that the alleged aliens have managed to attract interest both here at home and abroad.
On the betting pages, the Norwegian Eurovision contribution is currently placed in a good 8th place, according to the website Eurovisionworld.
Although it is apparently far up to the Ukrainian odds favorite Kalush Orchestra, there are high hopes associated with the yellow wolves.

Gonna make a party
When Dagbladet meets Subwoolfer in connection with the duo’s departure to Turin this weekend, the interview takes place via spokesman Carl-Henrik Wahl, presumably to make it more difficult for speculators to reveal the identities behind the yellow masks.
When asked how they intend to proceed in order to reach far in Turin, the artists say via the “interpreter” that they aim to stand out:
– We intend to drive on, and make a little party on stage. There are a lot of calm songs in Eurovision, and we hope that we can stand out a little in the field by having a song with a lot of partying and fun.
The duo, who go by the artist names Keith and Jim, stay in character in the method of acting, and most of the questions Dagbladet asks are met with answers such as:
– The heart of the moon is a bit like a banana.

Subwoolfers are cryptic and joking in their statements – which makes it demanding to take what they say for good fish.
When Dagbladet asks if there are any among the other Eurovision participants they have a good eye for, one must probably therefore take the answer with a good pinch of salt.
– We already know that Keith had a little romance with her from Azerbaijan in Madrid, so it was a bit exciting, the spokesman for the duo says.
This year’s Eurovision participant from Azerbaijan is 22-year-old Nadir Rustamli.
– Otherwise, Jim has an extra good eye for both him from Switzerland and she from Ireland, the spokesman continues.
If there has been any flirting, it has apparently not given any lasting credit to the duo, who have the following to say when asked if they are single:
– Right now, we are. There have been a few million years of drought.

The family supports
When asked what the family members of the two feel about participating in Eurovision, however, Dagbladet gets, hopefully, honest answers:
– We have great support from family and friends. Very happy that they are with us on this journey as well, the spokesman says and continues cryptically:
– It may actually be the case that in the future you will get to know our family as well.

With that, one may wonder if there are plans to expand the Subwoolfer franchise in the future.
It can already be speculated whether the two artists are really just two. It also seems as if they have fixed fixtures in the spacesuit-clad DJ Astronaut.
The identity of this character is also secret, and when Dagbladet asks straight out who the DJ Astronaut is, we get the answer:
– DJ Astronaut, he is DJ, he is astronaut, therefore it is DJ Astronaut.
See it on the ass
With a relatively identical appearance, it can be difficult to know which of the two wolves goes by the name Keith, and who is Jim.
To be sure, you have to pay close attention to the anatomy, it seems as if the artists’ spokesman:
– Keith is a little lower than Jim, except when he wears platform shoes then – sometimes he does too, the spokesman explains, and adds:
– And then Jim has a much nicer ass.
