Reuttener Seilbahnen: The Hahnenkamm continues: the contracts have been signed

COURTES (rei). The cable car company and the municipality of Höfen were able to agree. The Hahnenkammbahn can thus start operating again.

Long negotiations

It was probably a last minute agreement: Today, Friday, the representatives of the Reuttener cable cars and the municipality of Höfe sat opposite each other in the district captain’s office to find ways of resolving the conflict.
Lawyers were also present, as was President of the Landtag, Sonja Ledl-Rossmann, representative of the Chamber of Commerce and a large staff of specialists from the district administration, so that any problem that arose can be discussed and solved immediately.
The negotiations lasted five hours and then everyone agreed.

The contracts are signed

What was negotiated could be put on paper and signed by the contracting parties. Both cable car entrepreneur Peter Gerber signed his contract and Mayor Vinzenz Knapp,

At the same time, a press briefing took place in the Chamber of Commerce Reutte on the occasion of the traditional New Year reception of the WK Reutte. WK head Wolfgang Winkler, who is also the regional chairman, was able to report on the agreement. At this point, however, the signatures were still missing. Shortly after 6 p.m. the confirmation came in, the contracts are signed.

Mayor is relieved

The district papers reached Bgm. Just a few minutes later. He is delighted: “That fits,” assures the Höfen community leader.
Now there is the easement contract demanded by the municipality for so long, which regulates everything that is important so that a (hopefully) peaceful coexistence is possible on the Hahnenkamm. Right of passage, use of the way, the supply of the mountain huts, ski tourers, rights for sports clubs, timbering, grazing rights – now everything is recorded in black and white.

Appeals withdrawn

For his part, Höfen withdraws those objections that prohibited the cable car from using the water for snow-making. It was this objection to a corresponding decision that led to the temporary closure of the Hahnenkamm cable car.

The train should unlock again as soon as possible

Unfortunately we couldn’t find out when the train would open again in the short time, cable car operator Peter Gerber was not available.
Wolfgang Winkler believes that tomorrow, Saturday, the train may be up and running again. Peter Gerber made corresponding suggestions during the afternoon session.
Of course, this requires staff.

It remains to be seen whether this will be ready tomorrow. You can probably get information on the homepage of the Reutten cable cars. Otherwise, a call to the train is also recommended, Tel. 05672/62420, www.reuttener-seilbahnen.at
