The record rate of infection spread was recorded this week, in particular, in the states of Idaho, Alabama, Arizona, Wyoming, Georgia, California, Mississippi, Missouri, Nevada, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Florida and South Carolina. In some of them, the number of infections rose sharply after the partial cancellation of previously introduced sanitary measures.
US Vice President Michael Pence said on Friday that an increase in the number of new cases of coronavirus infection has been recorded in 16 states, and in 34 the situation with the spread of infection has stabilized. He assured that the authorities are paying increased attention to these 16 states. According to Pence, the most difficult situation is, in particular, in Arizona, Texas and Florida.
At the same time, the US vice president emphasized that the US authorities “have made truly remarkable progress” in the fight against coronavirus.
